Certified Home Inspectors | Colorado Springs

Meet Our Team

Certified Home Inspector: Mark Jones
MArk Jones

After finishing college I moved to Colorado in 2004. I owned and operated a contracting business until the housing downturn of 2008. During that time I worked winterizing bank owned homes. In the summer of 2009 I started working for a local home inspector first to dewinterize the homes he was inspecting but soon started to inspect homes with him as well. I closed my contracting business in 2011 and committed to a career in home inspections full time. I have performed over 6,500 home inspections in the Colorado Springs area. I have over 30 certifications including the Certified Master

Inspector designation. This is the highest designation in the inspection industry. I have spent many hours training my team and helping them become the best group of inspectors in the Colorado Springs area. I have three boys and a loving wife that supports me in my business. I also volunteer coach basketball and football. I believe that being an inspector is a lot like being a coach, and it is one of the most rewarding experiences. Guiding and advising home buyers and sellers is an absolute pleasure. I look forward to working with you.

Professional Home Inspector: Gary Koostra

Gary has been involved in real estate for over twenty years. He started in his twenties with finding properties for investors in metro Atlanta. He performed everything from demo to rehabilitation of the

properties. He was also a loan officer for a period of time to learn about the inside of the business. He started on his path to becoming a full time inspector in Georgia. He brought his wife and two children to Colorado in 2017 and has been a full time inspector in Colorado for the last three years. In the winter of 2017-2018 he was selected as one of only a handful of inspectors in a project for Weyerhaeuser. The project involved inspecting joists that were installed in basements which had issues pertaining to certain chemicals which were in the flame retardant paint used on the joists. The joists had to be inspected after they were mitigated to ensure they would not be a hazard to the homeowner. He personally inspected 167 of the 250 homes that were affected.

Jared Watkins

My father was a building inspector, and as I was pushing through high school I always envied and appreciated his career. My construction experience and knowledge come directly from him at a young age. I knew before I graduated high school that a career in the inspection industry was going to be in my future. After high school my brother and I went to California to play college basketball. Unfortunately, he had medical issues that forced us to come home after a year. I ended up taking a construction job in Denver and quickly got promoted to foreman. This is when I buckled down and began studying. I earned a certification through ASHI to be a home inspector and shortly after started my own business. I managed a couple of part time jobs as my business was trying to gain traction. About two years later I met Mark. I quickly achieved my certification through InterNachi and have been working with him ever since! Now I am close to completing 1000 home inspections with some homes 140 years old and some as big as 12k square feet. Being a home Inspector is a career I am very passionate about.

I will always strive to expand my knowledge and help people with their home buying journey.
